Glücksschwein—"lucky pig"—is a German style pilsner brewed by Sugar Mountain Brew Co. Pigs are synonymous with luck in German culture and little novelty piggies are often given out for good luck. Sugar Mountain wanted to bring in some elements of German culture while maintaining modern appeal. I created custom typography for "Glücksschwein," based on a typeface from an old German type foundry. A background reminiscent of the Bavarian flag was incorporated and gold foil used throughout the label to emphasize how lucky this beer will be to its consumer. I created the branding for the beer bottle and informational tag, as well as for Sugar Mountain Brew Co., located in the mountains of North Carolina. Sugar Mountain was inspired by the Neil Young song of the same name.

The Pirates! In an Adventure with Scientists is one of my favorite books. It's one in a series by Gideon Defoe about a group of pirates who sail around looking for adventure and usually, also ham. In this prospective book cover, I really wanted to capture the essence of all the silly characters, like Bobo the chimpanzee, and crucial bits of plot like ham and trilobites. I sent the book cover to the author via Twitter, who was also pleased with it.

Created for Cultural Care Au Pair to welcome au pairs to their host family and to bring host kids and au pairs together. The first side is an illustrated map of the U.S. to color in, and the back side is a creative calendar with questions and activities au pairs and host kids can do together to get to know each other.
Selected social media graphics for different campaigns including holidays, an initiative to highlight US states, and the Au Pair of the Year campaign.
The idea for The Muppet Steak Manhattan was borne from a skit from MTV's The State in which people hunt and eat muppets for dinner. I was dying to create a restaurant menu, and so I pushed this wacky, somewhat unsettling idea even further to create The Muppet Steak Manhattan. I illustrated and designed a cocktail menu and dinner menu, totally inventing every dish and drink from scratch.
